Could the Cost of the Housing Status Quo be Worse Than Change?

I wonder - if I wasn’t in the land use community, would I really pay attention to the MBTA law, restrictive zoning, the di/iculties of permitting and building additional dwelling units (ADU), or even how high construction costs and interest rates have gotten?
